So the second part of Bhai released on 8th February 2019 which was most awaited movie in the month of February. As to the continuation of first part the story of Pu.La Deshpande moves forward. This part focuses on his later stage of life, his professional life and his selfless journey towards social work. The writer and the director has been successful to maintain the continuity of the story. In right sense the movie is “Utarardha” as it portrays later stage of life of Pu.La.
But the movie at some point may seem to be slow and monotonous as compared to first part. In the early part many instances were showed at a speed but in this part they seem to be little slow. 60% of the story is shown in the first part and remaining 40% in this second part. Also director misses out to show the literature creativity of Pu.La and his books in the movie. Rest the movie is good to watch as it would complete the story of Pu.La. Also some characters are abruptly ended from the movie.
But in order to understand and see whole life of Pu.La.Deshpande then it is must watch. At the end audience get a feeling of completeness to the story and satisfaction of watching whole life of Pu.La.Deshpande. Girish Kulkarni’s cameo is noticeable in the movie.
I would give 2.5/5 stars to the movie as it is successful in maintaining the continuity and completing the story. But there are some points which director missed which should have been focused as it contributed in Pu.La’s life in different aspect and also at some point it may seem to be monotonous.
